Housing/News

Apparently the national housing market still isn't quite as healthy as here in the Pacific Northwest. It has seemed to be business as usual here in our little corner and we've just steamrolled along. Toll Brother's latest forecast indicates that maybe they've hit the floor and the national market will soon begin growing again. I have doubts that housing will stay dormant for long given that the economy seems to be plugging along with solid growth, strength, etc. Not to say that everything out there is hunky-dorey, but as far as the national scene economically, I think things look fairly solid.

Another interesting tidbit is the fact that Bush nominee Robert Gates seems to think that we're not doing so well in Iraq. You think? It's about time that someone loosely affiliated with Bush acknowledges the challenges that we do have overseas. Maybe rational thought is making a comeback? We can only hope... Another note, maybe our UN Rep. Bolton resigning is also a good thing? Stay tuned...
